List of Massage Therapy Treatments

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage works on the deeper muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic pain and tension. This is ideal for those who prefer deeper muscular work or who are challenged by high levels of daily stress, and is especially suitable for athletes.

Neuromuscular Therapy

The utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system.

Myofascial Release

A form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction, its resulting pain and restriction of motion. Somatic dysfunction is defined as the impaired or altered function of related components of the somatic (bodywork) system including: the skeletal, arthrodial, and myofascial structures, and their related vascular, lymphatic, and neural elements.

Sports Massage

Helps alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the soft tissues during physical activity due to overexertion and/or overuse. Massage can break them down quickly and effectively. It helps prevent those small nagging injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether one is an athlete, ardent keep-fitter or a once a week jogger.

Resistance Exercise

Resistance Exercise also means strength training to increase muscle mass and bone strength.

Stretching Techniques

Involves passive stretching, self-stretching, isometric - isotonic stretching.
